It’s now like the middle of the night when we go out for our walk in the morning. The sky is as dark as it is at midnight, the stars are still bright in the sky – however, to our surprise, the moon isn’t there. Having decided that it is unlikely that the moon has fallen from the sky, we both realized that we don’t know that much about the moon’s monthly journey. So, a quick search of the Internet and I found out that apparently the moon isn’t visible every day of the month – well, I didn’t know that!
We could also play bat bat bird, as there are both bats and birds as the sun rises, but it’s not as good as in the evening as there are no swifts catching insects, like we see in the evening.
So I am guessing that we’ll either have to change our route or the time we go for a walk, as there are another few weeks of the mornings getting darker yet.
We had an unexpected storm last night – and an expected one forecast for today. Which will be a nice break from the heat of the summer!
