It’s olive harvest time of year and the trees are getting stripped. The olive groves are full of people either hitting trees with sticks – or shaking them with branch shaking machines, which are the sort of size of strimmers, but with a sort of clamp that clamps onto the tree and shakes. It must be quite uncomfortable to hold for long periods of time.
We walk through an olive grove in the mornings and noticed that one had been completely stripped in a day – so they certainly get a move on when they’ve started!
