Unfortunately the car bit isn’t here yet and we hadn’t stocked up on cheese and wine for a cheese feast. We did, however, have an avacado and brie, so we had toasted avacado and brie sandwiches, and pink wine with the addition of fizzy soda to make ‘cava’, which was a nice way to celebrate.
We’re also out of gas now, and while I think we’d be unlucky to get stopped between here and the swimming pool where we can buy gas, given that luck generally works against us, we haven’t tempted it. Happily the weather is so warm that the water is coming out of the cold tap hot, well if not hot certainly very warm.
The most serious thing has that we have run out of heart tablets for Millie and Tinkerbelle. After making all sorts of plans for getting into the vet, driving up back lanes only, or with Ian cycling part of the way, or hitching a lift… we found out we could buy them at the chemist. Which we did. And while they are not expensive tablets anyway, it worked out significantly cheaper buying them from the chemist as we bought in bulk. So that’s a good thing.
Hopefully we’ll have the car working again this week. Other than not having nice cheese, gas and heart tablets, it’s not been too much of an inconvenience as we rarely use it, but it’s still nice to have it just in case!
Ian found a big spider yesterday and learned that tarantula spiders are found in Andalucia. Hopefully this wasn’t one that had travelled north for it’s holiday!
