Olives and Long Shadows

Apparently olive trees only give a proper harvest every two years and the year in between, while they do produce olives, it’s very much less and the olives are just left to fall. This is an in between year but I am sure there are more olives on the ground than in a normal in between year.

I am sure in Percy’s mind he is the size of his shadow (which would have been better if the pic had been taken the other way around). Much to his dismay, I really don’t think he’s going to grow to the size of a mastine, and he’s probably always going to be the baby of the house! But he has now grown properly into his harness and we don’t need to worry so much about him getting his legs tangled in it.

Daisy is a surprisingly noisy dog when she runs. It sounds like a heard of elephants are coming at you, and I am absolutely certain I can feel the ground rumble. It’s very interesting watching both Percy and Pixie. If they are in front of Daisy, they stop and move to one side to allow her to thunder by.

And our long winter shadows 🙂
