We’ve signed the sale contract on our current house. It’s the first part of the process, in total there will be three stages as it’s not a straight forward sale. The next bit will be when the property register has been corrected which will be around Christmas time.
And next week we may be signing the contract for the new house. This is sooner than we anticipated and isn’t going to be that convenient as I think one of us will have to go there to be physically present to sign. Given it’s a 10 hour drive, it’s not ideal, so we’re investigating if we can either go to a notary here to sign or if we can give a solicitor there power of attorney.
But I think I’d rather be in a position of signing earlier than we thought rather than later.
