Early Morning Play on the Beach for Daisy (and Ian)

On Sunday we took Daisy for a run on the beach in San Cipiran (mermaid beach).

Daisy enjoyed teaching Ian how to fetch the ball:

We also did some more strimming and clearing around the house.

I strimmed up the barn side of the house. We need to close the gap in the wall on the left, as that goes into a neighbour’s field. Daisy and Percy are inclined to head up into this part of the garden, so we need to have some fence there.
This is the same bit looking from the back towards the road at the front. Ian has now dismantled the old sofa by the horreo and that will go to the tip this week.
Ian is clearing around the back of the house. This is the area we are going to fence in for the cats. It is shaded by the house, so doesn’t get any sunlight, but at least they will be able to go outside. There are two old stone sinks behind Ian. If we opened this door, it would look through to the ‘open’ bit at the front of the house.
Our scrumping neighbour brought us round more oranges and this time some kiwifruit. I guess that makes us accessories.
I mentioned about the huge orange trees – this is one. Very unlike what we had in Extremadura.
The big green things in the front are Galego cabbage (or similar). They are everywhere! We’ve noticed the growing season is long. People still have peppers, aubergine, courgettes growing in their huertas.

Beach for Lunch

Later we went to the beach near our house for lunch.

And we were entertained by watching these little birds scaveging I guess for sea creatures and then running away from the waves-
