Getting Straight…

The undercover area between the house and the barn is quite a useful area.

It’s full of stuff at the moment, however when we get it clear and sorted it will be quite practical. Here is Ian planting some seeds – we have had some very warm weather this week!

This photo shows the inside of this area. The door that goes straight ahead opens into a passageway which goes right the way through the downstairs and outside at the back.

The door on the right goes into the barn – and this, apparently, used to be a school room.

Big solid stones around the doors. The passageway from the door straight ahead is where we are storing things at the moment, so it’s not easy to walk through it.

Living Room

Going up the steps from the kitchen is the living room and this is where Ian currently works – next to Ludvig who is learning ‘ship ahoy’. Look closely and you will see Good Luck Dragon in front of the window!

This is the same room in daylight but from a different angle and the chair Ian was sat on is on the right.

This is the same room again but taken from the top of the steps looking straight ahead- you can see the chair Ian was sat on in the mirror. The room at the end is where I work – and babbity the cat is sat on the window sill. The door on the left goes into a small corridor, which goes down more steps and links with the passageway downstairs.

This is the view looking straight ahead from the room at the back where I work and which Babbity the cat would be looking at. To the right is the sea.

This is the corridor that goes down to the passageway downstairs. What would effectively be the back door would be if we opened the door in the photo and turned right.

And there’s a little box room on the left of this corridor which we are using for storage. Some of these things aren’t ours (ie the mary and jesus figure) but were too much of interest to throw away. This is room is not in great condition – but it’s Ok for storage at the moment.
