I realized that i hadn’t posted a photo of the finished gate. It certainly does the job, even Percy can’t squeeze his way through there.
The sinister looking mound on the bottom left is where Ian has filled the trough thing with soil he took from where the fence is going to go, and given it was pretty weed-laden, we’re using this to kill them off and make the soil suitable for herbs and things in the future.
This is where Ian has been cutting digging away to expose the rock, and now he is going to chisel a channel for the fence. Then we can measure up and cost the different options and finally get rid of the table we have across the bottom of the garden and perhaps then we’ll look a little less Steptoey (and feel that the animals are more secure).
We also took a visit to the tip this week and even the tip has a nice view 🙂
