Waterfall!

We had to go to the supermarket, so decided to head inland and go somewhere we hadn’t been before and tie it in with a circular walk.

As the crow flies it is about 18km (11 miles), however, remembering our last experience of going off the beaten track inland, we went a longer way to avoid extremely steep hills!

This entailed us going over the road that was damaged with flooding – it is open now, but one lane only.

We got to the start-ish of the walk and all was well.

However, just after the start of the walk the lane was blocked and I think tree felling was going on.

So we knew where the walk ended, so we drove a bit further on and continued to the waterfall.

The walk entailed balancing over some planks across the river

And climbing up some steps carved into the rocks

But the end result was worth it!
