Carnival has been in full throw. There appeared to be parades in most of the towns.
We saw the one in Burela by accident, but we went to the one in San Ciprian as it was nearest to us.
There were much bigger parades in the big towns like Foz, Viveiro and Riberdeio,which perhaps we’ll visit another year.
Interestingly, we still have our Xmas street lights, which they kept up till Carnival, and then swapped them for witches….?? Wonder why.

And the man in the last pic was very sinister!!!
The burial of the sardine happens here too, I think this weekend to mark the end of Carnival celebrations. We’ll have to see if there’s one near us!!
