Remember to collect the vegetables. I’d sort of forgotten about our carrots, having picked a few as baby carrots, we had left the rest. Only to find that now they are the size of our cat Babbity! We have also learned not to plant carrots in stony soil as this has created some very strange shaped carrots!

But as they are on our list of ‘not sure we’d grow again’, perhaps not too much to worry about.
We are making some sauerkraut with one of our cabbages. We’ve tried before, but the result was horrible, I used much to much salt. This is looking better…

Sailing Ship

We saw an old sailing ship when we went to Burela. It had its sails down, but this is it

you can read about it here – https://atyla.org/
I’ve seen it before – or at least one like it. It was a misty day and it went past in the mist – and I certainly knew at that point how people can believe in ghost ships!

This is a nice photo of Primrose and Horace (who is uncovered because it’s too warm for his duvet!). Primrose isn’t very well at the moment, and we’re going to the vet later to talk about options. She was very poorly last Tuesday and we made an emergency visit to the vet and had to go to Viveiro as we couldn’t see a vet in Burela. She’s got a bit better over the last week, but has actually made quite a big improvement in the last 24 hours, which is hopeful (and I’m glad now we didn’t see the vet yesterday, which we’d hoped we’d be able to). But we won’t know more until we’ve seen the vet.
Update: The vet was actually delighted with Primrose’s progress, and she’s continued to improve through today too – and we now have to concentrate on getting her weight back up and generally recuperate. I am so glad we didn’t go to the vet yesterday!
