Well, this is a funny thing… I was reading in the news that there were studies going on about replacing eucuplytus plantation with avacado plantations. The eucuplytus are not universally loved, and have been the cause of many of the big wild fires in North Spain and Portugal. There’s moves to replace them, but obviously it needs to be a financially viable alternative for the land owners.
So Ian and I were chatting about this as we walked down the lane opposite, musing avacados and saying we’d never seen an avacado tree and wondered what they would look like – when I looked down and saw the avacado on the ground. I looked up – and I was stood under a couple of big avacado trees!

We can see them from the kitchen and front garden – so unbeknown to us, we most definately had seen avacado trees before!!

I wonder what else there is around that we haven’t ‘seen’ 🙂
