I noticed that some of the gourds had started to go brown at the top, and I thought this meant they were going mouldy. Good job I didn’t take them off and throw them out as it transpires that this is what they look like when they are drying out.
One has already dried, I can hear the seeds rattling in it. The dark patchy marks on the outside will come off when it is washed, leaving a moltled pattern.

There are about 20 left on the vine. I guess a couple will rot, but that should still give us a few to experiment with 🙂
