A family of cows/bulls appeared in the field behind us. I hope they stay longer than the horses, who escaped after a couple of days. It is nice to see them though from the back of the house.
Fishy Picnic
We went for a picnic which is at the mouth of a river where it joins the sea, the other side of San Cibrao. We have been here before and had seen that there are a LOT of fish – and there were so again for this visit. There is a fish farm near here, so I don’t know if this is escapees that we see.
Not only do the fish catch the sun and shine silver in the water, they also jump around and come up to the surface, perhaps to catch insects?
They are quite big, I guess around 30/40cms, so it surprises me there aren’t more people fishing here. There were people fishing, but they were stood on rocks fishing in the sea – so I wonder if these were regarded as being too ‘easy’
