Paper Rocks

We had to go to the post office and instead of coming straight back, we went in the other direction to explore over the cliffs. We started off at the ‘paper rocks’ which near the old whaling port.

and then walked up over the cliff to a viewing point at the top.

‘our’ headland would be about the third one back in the background, but it’s a bit too hazy to see.

The views are pretty good from here – but I don’t think it would be the place to come on a windy day. Certainly not for a picnic!

The aerial view in the pic below shows where we were. We’d have been on the cliff directly in front of the island at the top right of the image. ‘Paper rocks’ are the formation on the headland right in the front of the photo.
