And saw this huge ship on the horizon! The shipping lane is on the horizon so we quite often see the silhouettes of large ships, but nothing quite this big. Looked at our boat app and it was a cruise ship going from Portugal to Bilbao. Not sure why we saw this one so clearly, whether it was a little nearer to the edge of the shipping lane or if it was just so big – or if it was something to do with the light, it was dusk here, but could the ship still have been catching the light. Or was it lost 🙂
And talking of seeing something different – I think I saw a wolf the other morning. I saw a fox a couple of weeks ago and it was a proper fox. It was bright red, and if you were going to draw a fox it was exactly the same you would draw it.
Anyway, I saw what I thought was a fox in the same place, but it was a different color, it was grey and different shape. Also, the fox I saw ran away where this new ‘fox’ I saw stood and looked at me for a while.
When I got home I said to Ian that I’d seen a fox, but it looked different. Then I saw in the newspaper website about wolves – and there was a photo and I’m pretty certain it’s what I saw. It was quite small, a bit bigger than the fox I saw, but I think that Galician wolves are a little smaller than the one in Red Riding Hood.
I know there are wolves here, as they are a problem for sheep farmers, but (if it was a wolf) this was the first I have seen.
