The white paint is out again to hide some of the effects of smoke from a winter with fire. I’d hoped I could just paint the spots where necessary, but removing the pictures off the wall showed just how much the fire had affected the paint. I’m keeping fingers crossed that we won’t need to paint the ceiling, but fear we may not be so lucky.
