We went for a walk out towards Burela and then went right towards Cervo and came back along the river. This is a proper ‘ruta’ – (a walk that follows a footpath) and is defined as ‘easy’. The walk goes past three old water mills. We’ve done this walk before, but not for quite a while. As indeed the same would appear to apply to the person who is responsible for defining the difficulty of the rutas.
There was very little easy about this! Quite a few trees have come down blocking the path, it was very overgrown meaning that it was difficult to find the path (and not fall in the river) and some of the walk entailed hanging onto pieces of rope and praying.

But – the scary bits aside, it was a very nice walk and although we couldn’t find where the path split to take us back to our house, we walked down to the beach and came back that way – seeing the railway bridge from another angle!
