Water Runs Out – And Daisy Sees an Opportunity

We use spring water for everything except drinking and it ran out on Friday. It ran out during our first summer here and didn’t run out last year – so I’ve made a note here so we can refer to it next year. I think last time we turned it back to spring water in the new year, but I don’t think we’d tested it during that time so it may well have come back before then.

I’m not surprised the spring water has run out, it’s been very dry. It’s been several weeks without significant rain, I think there’s only be one day this summer when we’ve not had to water the garden.

So when it runs out we need to change back to the council water – which is done by turning the supply over using a tap which is buried in the garden.

It’s not supposed to be buried, but stuff just builds up in there and Ian needed to get to it to change the supply over.

I don’t really know anything about the spring water – it’s just ‘there’. It comes in by pipe, so obviously comes from somewhere and has been managed at some point, but we don’t pay for it.

Daisy took this as being a great opportunity for having Ian locked in place for an extra game of ball! She found dropping the ball into the hole most effective 🙂
