I noticed that some trees were being cleared from the main road and wondered if that meant they were opening up another path to the beach. This is right at the end of the lane which takes us to the main road and there is a path that goes to the beach (it goes to the top of the river when feeds into the sea and follows the river up to Cervo), however as far as I can see, this isn’t accessed from the road – although it could well have been in the past and that it had simply grown over. At the moment the path is accessed by crossing the railway line, which of course isn’t ideal, and then slipping down a steep bank to the path, so it would make sense to access this path without having people cross the railway line.
Anyway, Ian went to take a look and while it certainly looks like a path it only goes part way and there’s a big drop then to the beach – so we’ll wait and see if any more comes from it! In the pic above Ian is coming back up again and you can see it would take us to the part of the beach behind the railway bridge.
