Pirata didn’t like the storm, I think the sound and the feel of the wind would have been unsettling for him.
I have two new youngsters coming to class. This means they are doing the whole singing thing again while I wean them off singing the names of colours. They are quite well behaved at the moment, however I anticipate that this will wear off in a couple of weeks and they will be as annoying as the others. I wanted to do some union jack crafts with them, however I can’t think of anything suitable. I obviously wasn’t paying enough attention during the jubilee celebrations.
Bob and Herbie have been back to the vets and Bob is taking tablets for his heart and liver and there’s nothing to report on little Herbie. He’s still coughing, but is a happy little chap and takes everything in his slightly wobbly stride.
We’ve started reviewing audiobooks again. I’m using ‘we’ as we’re going to do the reviews between us this time. We’ve got six to review this time, the first was pretty awful – and example of an OK book made worse through bad narration (for some reason they used two narrators, however they read the characters in different ways so it was difficult to follow who was who). The second is a British book and we’re enjoying it. I seem to get the British books to review, and the last couple I had before taking a break were bad. One was a crime novel whose central fact was that no one drove without shoes. Which was just daft. And annoying.
