We turned up at 11.30, and within two hours I had been seen, sent to Llerena for x-rays, returned to the doctor and had the x-rays examined and a very detailed consultation. It is very difficult to fault the healthcare. The x-rays didn’t show anything wrong with the bones, so it looks like it’s tendons. He offered me an injection, but I think the look on my face my have indicated my displeasure at that prospect – particularly when he got on the Internet to show me photos of the injection process. So I am taking another course of tablets and doing exercises. I have an appointment at the physio if he doesn’t improve – or, of course, I can go back for the injections.
He also confirmed the thoughts on my ankle, which is to keep the screws and plates in place unless they cause any pain.
And he confirmed that the reason why he couldn’t find us on the system is because they had my surnames as Jane Pullen. We are quite the exception having only the one surname and the systems just don’t cope with this anomaly!
